Wow… Watched on bbc news:
Freaky. Scientists want to be able to shove human DNA into a cow egg so they can create embryos which are part human, part cow. This blend is known as a Chimera (defined as part human, part other). The embryo at the end will be 99.9% human, 0.1% cow.
My personal background is scientific, but that really WAS not presented well!! Hahahaa.
What if the scientists wanted to let the chimera embryos grow? :o Think of the bullying potential if they ever live to primary school age! <insert obligatory arbitrary joke here> What about racism? Religion?

Sooooo … I’m not against this - stem cell research is important, but damn, they aren’t doing themselves any favours with the way it’s being described.
Why don’t they use cats instead? I bet there are thousands of pet lovers that’d want to nurture a cat/human cross :p
